What it does

The Opening Range Break is one of the oldest and most well-documented concepts in futures trading. Price builds a range in the first minutes of the NY session, and when it breaks —with enough context behind it— the move tends to follow through cleanly.

The problem is most traders trade it blind. They see the break, they take it, and they wonder why it fails half the time. The answer is simple: they have no context.

The CCT ICC NQ ORB solves this by layering two proven systems on top of each other. CCT ICC runs on the 15m timeframe, tracking trend breaks, structural levels, and Virgin Wicks, building a real-time map of where the market wants to go. When the opening range breaks in the direction that CCT already confirms, both systems align. That alignment is your signal.

You’re not just trading a breakout. You’re trading a breakout that the structural trend is already pointing toward. The odds aren’t just good,  they’re stacked.

The Two Systems Working Together

CCT ICC - The Context Layer

Running on the 15m engine, CCT ICC tracks Indication levels (structural trend breaks) and Virgin Wicks (untested price levels). This layer answers the question every ORB trader needs to ask before entering: is the trend on my side?

Opening Range Break - The Execution Layer

Defines the range during the early session then waits for a confirmed directional break. When it fires in the direction CCT already confirmed, you have two independent systems agreeing — the highest probability scenario.

The 75-Minute Advantage

9:45 - 11:00 AM ET

The only window that matters. Everything else is noise.

The trading window is locked to 9:45 – 11:00 AM Eastern. That’s intentional. The open is the most liquid, most directional, and most predictable period of the NQ session. Institutional order flow is heaviest. Structural levels are freshest.

By combining CCT structure with ORB execution inside this specific window, you get maximum edge in minimum time. When the trade triggers, you manage it. When it doesn’t, you walk away. Either way, you’re done before most traders have finished their second coffee.

Two Entry Modes

The indicator ships with two execution styles. Choose based on your risk tolerance and how early you want to enter.

Reclaim Mode

Entry fires when price closes beyond the trap level. Clean, fully confirmed, no ambiguity. Best for traders who prefer certainty over speed.

Tracking Mode

Arms on first touch of the POI, then fires on the first engulfing candle close in the trade direction. Earlier entry, slightly more aggressive. Best for tighter stops.

Key features

Who it's for

The CCT ICC NQ ORB is for NQ traders who already understand the Opening Range Break concept and want to stop trading it in isolation. If you’ve been taking ORB setups and finding them inconsistent, the missing piece is almost always context — and CCT ICC provides exactly that.

You don’t need to be a CCT expert. The indicator handles the structural analysis automatically. What you do need is a basic understanding of how ORB setups work and the discipline to trade only the 9:45–11:00 window and nothing else.

If you can commit to 75 focused minutes a day on NQ, this indicator gives you a systematic, structured reason to take every setup you do take — and a clear reason to skip everything else.
